Problems with Modules SIMPLE and JENSPERMS

Hi,
I would like to make adding items for users easier/clearer with reducing additional options like userrights or themes when creating a new album.
Therefor I found the modules SIMPLE and JENSPERMS which should offer this function.
I downloaded, installed and activated the modules but no changes in the album adding or editing function appeared.
Did I forget any further settings?
