irc help!

For some reason I can't seem to get onto irc.freenode.com - I keep getting the error message "Unable to resolve IRC server".

This is the only one I'm having a problem with - is there another way to get to the Gallery channel?

I had to re-download mIRC after I got back from vacation and took the info from Joan's post on my "back from vacation" thread - I'll make a mention of it there so anyone reading that thread will know too!

I could have sworn it worked for me too at some point...but at least now I know to try net (and it works)!

I downloaded the KVIrc client (on a mac & all the others seem to be win only) but all attempts to even connect do not work. Never used irc before.

Any clues? Thanks for any help.

I use the chatzilla plugin for firefox on a mac.
fyi, since the posts above were written, the server has changed to chat.freenode.net

Thanks...seems the prob might be on my side as Chatzilla doesn't connect either.

it should work to open up chatzilla and do:
/server chat.freenode.net
/join #gallery
