I have a site (http://www.themacenroes.com) running Wordpress 2.7 and Gallery 2.3. All runs well.
In the Gallery section, I have a number of albums, some of which have sub-albums. I currently need to upload a large number of photos to this site and thought I would use GR. Well...
I first tried the server-based java client, and then the local app installed on my local computer. I get the same behavior both ways:
I can log into the server (or so it seems) but I see no albums and basically, do nothing. (I've changed the name of the admin user in the attached logfiles.) I've searched through these forums, as there is little documentation, and I'm still not quite sure what is happening. My thoughts:
1) Similar to other problems, where the user logs in as "admin" but only has guest perms.
2) There is a line about a failed instantiation after checking the java class, but maybe that's only because I'm not utilizing the proxy function.
I really like Gallery, but this promised solution is quickly turning into a real PITA. Thank you so much in advance for your assistance! I will check back regularly for feedback.
