Theme Editing

Hi to all,

I am new to gallery and I want to create a photo database website, I have download some shared themes and I am try to edit those theme.

My question is..
1. How can I show the recent uploaded photo and its uploaded date instead the date of the photo.

2. I how can add a list of links (let say 30 list of links) beside the photo tables. I have my sample design/template.
