I am using Gallery2, and an eye-fi card to automatically upload to my gallery...
The eye-fi card (by default) creates a new sub-album everyday that it uploads photos (i.e. if I uploaded 3 photos today they would all be placed in a sub-album labeled "2009-02-05"). This is fine with me, but the problem I have is that G2 automatically sets the Album Thumbnail to the thumbnail of the 1st image that was uploaded that day, so if I uploaded 3 photos it would make the album's thumbnail the same as the thumbnail of the 1st item that was uploaded.
So, is it possible to turn off sub-album thumbnails all together?
or
Set the sub-album thumbnails to a default image (i.e. and image of a folder)?
or
Have the sub-album automatically create a mosaic of all of the photos in the album?

No.
manually for each album, yes. You can 'highlight' an image or upload a default image and 'highlight' that image then hide it.
No. Request feature and I would like to see this as well but somebody has to write it. I think there is a theme (.mac?) that has a similar feature.

Manually, so there is no way to automate this?
Each time my eye-fi card uploads a new set of photos it will automatically create the album's thumbnail equal to the 1st image uploaded into that album, and theres no way around that (besides manually editing it)?
