Activating a Modual, Uploading a Zip File.

Hello.
Gallery newbie.
I want to upload multiple images, and I understand that I’m able to upload a zip file and the application will automatically unzip the folders ect., In the Admin page that lists all of the modules, in the Action column it either says configure or install, so I’m presuming that if it says configure, it’s already installed, right?
If that is correct, how do I activate it? And do I upload the zip binary from my gallery? And how do I prepare a binary zip file using WinZip?
