I just moved my gallery installation to a new box I set up, and it went almost
perfectly. The one thing that does not work is uploading pictures, and in
a very strange way. I log in as admin, the mini java app starts up fine,
but as soon as I press upload, it logs me out and fails to upload the file.
Similar behaviour with gallery remote: as soon as it goes to get the list of
albums, I'm logged out and it fails to retrieve any albums. By logged out,
I mean that it seems to change me from "admin" to "EVERYONE" automatically.
Form based upload fails as well, though I still remain logged in.
Any ideas about what might cause this behaviour?

I think I figured it out - the tmp directory wasn't chmod 777, just 755.
Now that it's 777, it seems to be much happier.
