Accessing gallery2 at localhost and externally

Hi there guys... I live in South Africa (where bandwidth is expensive) and I have a gallery2 installation embebbed into a Wordpress installation - both running on the same server, behind a router/firewall. For the purpose of remaining within my data traffic limit, and for times where the internet is down, I would like to be able to access my gallery at localhost rather than via my DNS name.
