Geeklog embedded Gallery, GR Settings?

I'm running gallery 2.3 and the latest download of Gallery Remote. I'm not sure what settings to use to actually make Gallery Remote function properly. I also see no gallery_remote2.php file on my server anywhere. I created one and put it in the gallery directory but am still having difficulty configuring the utility.

Give me a Error: com.gallery.GalleryRemote.GR2Exception: HTTP POST failed (HTTP 403 Forbidden)
followed by
Error: HTTP POST failed (HTTP 404 )

I've tried adding public_html in the applicable places but just get a 404. I've searched the forums and googled this and haven't found any definitive information on how to correctly configure embedded gallerys in this tool

It appears the solution is to forget about the "Embedded" functionality and just use standalone. Hopefully it still works after I set up my proper redirects.
