Website hacked, how should I go about reinstalling Gallery

Good morning all! I've recently been hacked and now my gallery 1 and 2 installs fail to work. There was all kinds of code injected into every php file on my server, permissions changed, new files created, etc, etc. I think the hack came from a Gallery 1 bug as I wasn't updated to the latest version. I was using version 1.5.7 and had sort of forgotten that site. Now the rest of my sites have paid the price. Anyways, I'd like to delete my entire gallery 1 install, copy the albums folder to my local hard drive and then reupload the albums folder (to reset permissions) and reinstall the gallery software. Any thoughts? How about G2? Any suggestions there? Thanks for your time! Rene P.S. My Wordpress install is also hosed. Doh! |
