Gecko Theme: Layout Modification Question

Hi all,

I've got the Gecko Theme working with my gallery 2.3 installation. I've checked out the way it's setup at http://gallery.ramoth.org/ and can't seem to find a way to have it work like this one.

What I'd like help with is how to create a main page (main.php) to display just like the one at the link above. I then want it to link to the albums page where everything uses permalinks or something. for example: at http://gallery.ramoth.org/gallery/albums it's link to the album "2008" is http://www2.ramoth.org/gallery/albums/2008/ then it displays many sub-albums etc

Is there an easy way for my gallery to do this? Am i missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You haven't described the way your gallery works at the moment, so it's hard to help.

It's just a basic install at the moment, i've simply installed it and used the Gecko Theme, no other modifications used.

What sort of description of how my gallery works do you need?

Well, you could give a url of your gallery. You've said what you want - but you've not said what you've got now that needs to change. If you ask for technical help you need to be quite specific, as different gallery installations can look different, depending on what modules you've installed.

Here is the system information, It's running on an intranet server that is located internally. So i can't provide links but i could setup a dummy installation using the same settings on a public server if that would be easier.

Edit the root album:
add this to the description of the album ( edit album general tab):

Save
Change the name of the album to Gallery.

Add one album to the root album call this album albums
Edit root album album tab set the thumbsize to 480
Save

Add other albums in the albums album
