Insert album as one image [lightbox]

Is it possible to insert an album as one image, so that when that image is clicked, lightbox opens and then the user can continue through the rest with out having to display all the images on the page with the same rel="lightbox[DT-3000]". I'm trying to minimized the number of images displayed on the page, while using WPG2 and lightbox. |

This has been requested a few times and I have not implemented this due to some concerns over performance. Should you have a album with say 200 photos, then all those 200 photos would need to be read, added to lightbox prior to the album being displayed. This is a heck of a lot of photos and would have a nasty impact on Wordpress performance. What I am thinking of doing is instead adding an option to limit on how many photos can be returned.
