The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): Internal server only
Gallery version: 1.5.9
Apache version: 2.2.3
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 5.2.0-8
Graphics Toolkit: ImageMagick ; Netpbm
Operating system: Windows XP Pro w/all updates and patches
Web browser/version (if applicable): Firefox 3.0.5

This 'should' be an easy issue however I'm unable to find any settings or documentation on it. I need to be able to upload .PDFs and .DOCs into Gallery 1.5.9. I currently get the error "filename.pdf (can't handle 'pdf' format)" whenever I attempt a .PDF upload using either the Form or Applet based upload tools. Any information in getting around this would be appreciated! Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Well that sucks. We're currently not able to upgrade the software to G2 at this time yet we do need .PDFs to be served. Perhaps I'll get around it for now by using a generic PDF graphic and linking the .PDF via a link in the Caption or Description fields. Blah... :-/ Oh well.. thanks for the reply.

Also note that Imagemagick requires Ghostscript in order to display PDF.
