Error (ERROR_STORAGE_FAILURE) while upgrading from 2.2.4 to 2.3

Gallery version (not just "2"): 2.2.4

I started seeing this ERROR_STORAGE_FAILURE somewhere (wish I had wrote down the details), so I did some research, and saw someone mention that this was caused by using pconnect, and that a more recent version of Gallery (although now that I look again, the 'fix' may have been in my current version, 2.2.4)

I decided to do an upgrade to 2.3. When doing so, the upgrade process failed due to the same error. Attached is a file containing the error. I'd sure appreciate some help figuring out what to do. I'm going to work on it for a bit, but if I don't find an immediate solution, I'll revert back, but the original problem will still be there.

Well, it seems the gray matter may be aging a bit. I found an old post (from me no less!), and apparently this has happened before. A simple table repair seems to fix it. It'd be nice to have a database maintenance module that can do repairs and email backups (similar to a plugin for wordpress), and optimize.
