Transferring Albums from Gallery PC server to Mac Server

Hello,

I am running 1.5.10 on a Windows XP machine. I am now wanting to transfer the albums to a Mac OS X Machine that also has 1.5.10 running.

I took the folder called Album01 from the PC albums folder and copied it over to the Mac album folder however on the Mac it says it is an invalid album and shall be removed by an Administrator. Is there some kind of minor setting messing this up?

Anyone have a clue how to do this?

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version: 1.5.10 on both machines
Apache version:
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): php 5
Graphics Toolkit: Imagemagick
Operating system: XP and OS X
Web browser/version (if applicable):

Hello,

you have to upload through Gallery as some metadata needs to be created.

Thank you for reply. I have thousands and thousands of photos, do I need to create all the albums again upload them all again through like gallery remote? Or is there some simpler solution? I sure hope there is ;)

There is a method called "URL" there you can enter the physical path to your albums and then they are "uploaded".

But afterwards you have everything doubled and you should delete your selfmade folders.

Hello, I am all sorted now which is great What I did was the following.

Took the gallery folder on the new server Mac OS X, made sure the album folder was empty. I also made sure .htaccess was blank as well as config.php were completely blank. Then I took the albums folder from my old PC and copied it over. When running the setup for the gallery it did a self update and all photos/comments and so on remained on the new server.
