"add comments" link in side bar

Hello - This is my first post, so I apologize if I've posted in the wrong area. I've searched the forum and documentation for the answer, but can't find it. That said, I can't find out how to put a simple "Add comments" link in the sidebar along with "slideshow" and "send ecard". All I've found is how to add a big comment box without wysiwyg editing options, and how to add a big comment box with a wysiwyg editing options. How do I just get a simple link to appear in the sidebar? Thanks, |

Ah yes. I'm using the Matrix theme, and Gallery Version 2.2.5 core 1.2.07

If you modify the theme settings, either through "Edit Album" or "Site Administration", for the Matrix theme you should see a list "Blocks to show on Photo page". You should make sure that "Add Comment" is an option. After that, you need to "Edit Permissions" for the album and make sure that either "Everybody" or "Registered Users" (depending on your preference) has the "[comment] Add comments" permission.

Hello -
I've tried that before. I just tried it again, in case I'd missed something, but I get the same results. Instead of a simple "Add Comment" link, I get a A field for Subject, and a big box in which to add a comment, complete with text formatting options. Then at the bottom, there is a Preview and Save button. I even tried checking and unchecking the "Show a text box that expands into the full form. All that does is hide/unhide the formatting choices.
How can I just get "Add Comment" to appear as a link?

you need to add a link in the sidebar.tpl
