I am on version 2.0.2 and would like to upgrade/migrate to 2.2.5. I am unable to find out how to do this. I initially tried to upgrade to the latest version of 2.0, but couldn't resolve my fatal error (which i posted here: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/80592 Anyways, can someone point me in the right direction as to how to upgrade from 2.0.* to 2.2.*? Google and other searches have been unhelpful thusfar. Gallery version: 2.0.2 |

Documentation link (upper-right corner on every page of this site)
Gallery 2: Installation
Upgrading
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Upgrading
Read through that entire page before attempting to do anything first. Backup everything, g2data, current gallery install, database, etc.

this page seems to show how to go from 2.0.2 to 2.0.5 ... but it doesn't show me how to jump releases from 2.0 to 2.2
specifically it offers the following upgrades:
* Upgrading from Gallery 2.2.x to 2.2.y (e.g. 2.2 to 2.2.1)
* Upgrading from Gallery 2.1.x to 2.1.y (e.g. 2.1.1a to 2.1.2)
* Upgrading from Gallery 2.0.x to 2.0.y (e.g. 2.0 to 2.0.4)

You're looking at the section for "Update Files". Those are files that only contain the changes between specific versions. They're like patches really. Just use the Replace All Files method, it's reliable, a little slower depending on how you get the files on your server, but reliable.
http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Upgrading#Replace_all_files
You'll see here: http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Upgrading#Upgrade_the_Application_Files there are 3 ways to upgrade G2, Replace All Files, Update Files, or Update from Subversion
Again, backup everything before proceeding, g2data, current installation, database, etc
