I am wanting to use gallery 2 to manage our company's downloads for the backend of our website. The backend is pretty small, consisting of around 5 pages. Anyways, I want the site to only have one login, and everyone that logs in to the backend will have access to gallery 2. So, I would like to use gallery's login as the method of entry to the backend and then it would take you to the initial news page. From there you'd be able to go into gallery through a downloads link. I'm having trouble understanding how to integrate gallery. I understand there is a wrapper file. I found the sample file and understand that it becomes the new entry point as apposed to index.php or main.php. However, I don't understand how to set it up to automatically use the wrapper file when someone goes to the www.example.com/gallery2/ address? I can make my downloads link specifically go to the correct address, but how do I prevent someone from just typing in www.example.com/gallery2/main.php and bypassing the login? Is there another place where I direct it to go to this new wrapper file? Thanks! |

Ok, I have the embed page working. Now I would like to use Gallery's login as the way for people to login to the backend of the website. I have searched this forum through and through with no great examples of how to get this to work. I went to the login form and copied it to put on another page. I then followed the directions on this page: http://gallery.menalto.com/node/63118.
I can go login to my backend but when I go to click on the link that takes me to gallery it makes me login again. I didn't see a solution for this. I thought there might be a way to modify the original login page rather than use my own. All I need it to do is redirect to the main page of my backend after the user logs in, but I can't find an easy way of doing that either. I found a redirect that you can stick in your the g2embed file that you create, but that redirects it before the user logs in rather than after.
Can anyone offer any help on this? I have spent several days at work on this. Unfortunately, we are getting to the point where we are going to make users login twice because we can't find a solution. I really don't want to do that.
Thanks.
