[Module EXIF/IPTC] more Keywords...

Hello.
I would like to have the ability to search in Keywords.
Directly (in IPTC data) this is not possible - as I found out.
But I also found out, that the EXIF/IPTC Module gives the ability to import IPTC keywords into item keywords!!
Great!! With this, it is possible to use the search module of Gallery2 and search also within these words.
The problem is, that just a few keywords are imported. My images have about 100 keywords. I looked into the JPEG.ing file of the module and saw:
"$tags[0x19] = 'Keywords'; // repeatable, 64 bytes max". I wonder if this is the reason for the limitation?

What do I have to change / alter to be able to import all of my IPTC keywords into the item keywords??
