Gallery version: 2.2.5
PHP version: 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.3
Webserver: Apache/2.2.8 (Ubuntu)
Database : mysqld Ver 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1 for debian-linux-gnu on x86_64 ((Ubuntu))
Ttoolkits: n/a
OS: Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (x86_64)
Browser : Firefox 3.0.1

I foolishly did not follow the exact instructions when moving my system from Fedora Core 8/Gallery 2.2.2 to Ubuntu 8.04/Gallery 2.2.5. In particular, I didn't know/match the destination version of Gallery 2 that I was going to on the new box.

Now I am stuck in upgrade heck and don't know what to do.

I backed up g2data, /etc, and /var. I've restored my g2data, /var/lib/mysql/gallery2 (db) and tried to run the upgrade.php It complained that I didn't have my old config.php in place, so I restored that as well.

Unfortunately, I cannot get past step 3 of the upgrade "Upgrade Core". The error is attached below, but it seems to be the "(ERROR_STORAGE_FAILURE)in modules/core/classes/GalleryStorage.class at line 480 (GalleryCoreApi::error)"

If I could find a copy of Gallery 2.2.2, I'd install it on my new box and I think I'd be good to upgrade from there, no?

Can anyone show me where an old copy of G2 2.2.2 is to be had? The web site seems to only link to the latest version.

Much appreciated,

Eric

As for that question, all of the release should be yet somewhere in the SourceForge system. I happen to have a SF account, and while logged in this link worked.

Thanks for that. I managed to use the 'wayback' machine (www.archive.org) and download a copy of 2.2.2. Unfortunately, for whatever reason the galleries still didn't import properly when I installed it. Oh well.

I've got the photos that I liked restored from my backup, now I just need to re-add my captions. (It was probably time to write new ones anyways.)

Regards,

Eric

Here is your actual error:

'gallery2.g2_PluginParameterMap' doesn't exist

1146: Table 'gallery2.g2_PluginParameterMap' doesn't exist

Make sure your whole db was fully restored and that the table names are in camelCase.

Yes, you're absolutely right. I suspect that the backup I thought I was so diligent in making was not complete.
