I try logging into my gallery--- processes me like I am ok-- then I get this error:

Error: Could not acquire lock (/home/users/web/b2545/sl.clemensc/public_html/Gallery/albums/albumdb.dat.lock)!

Any ideas??? I am NOT webmaster savvy-- its a baseball photo card site-- nothing spectacular.

I am the sole user of my system-- the admin.

PLEASE NOTE-- I REALLY WANT TO STAY WITH GALLERY 1 SO I WOULD APPRECIATE THAT HELP FIRST

Barring that help---
When I tried upgrading to Gallery Version 2 -- figuring maybe that will solve it-- I then get this piece of work--- so now of course I want to rip the computer and screen apart as nothing works:

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

This is the new message after I ripped out the old one and reloaded.
