The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful): http://jacklynch1.com/Gallery12
Gallery version:1.5 rc2
Apache version:1.1
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please):4.4.7
Graphics Toolkit:?
Operating system: XP
Web browser/version (if applicable): explorer 6.02

I am hosted by Ipower and just recently I am unable to add a new gallery. I can only add a subalbum in gallery 12. How do I add a new Gallery?
Also, I have a dozen or so other galleries that "Gallery does no recognize". They were originally created with Gallery and are still in my public_html folder. How do I get Gallery to recognize my old galleries?

Hello,

first i would like to say that your Gallery Version is VERY outdated and you should consider an upgrade.

When say "New Gallery". What exactly do you mean?

I mean a master folder in which I can place sub-albums of multiple images. For instance if I photograph a fighting event, I want to have a gallery named for that event and then put each fight in a separate folder. I hope that is clear.

Okay, so you have one Gallery and want to create (lots) lots of albums and subalbums, right?

Or do you really mean different Gallery installations?

Hi,

if you just want to add new subalbums, then this should not be a problem.

You defined a so called "albums" folder in your Gallery configuration.
If you have albums for a different Gallery 1.x installation then you can move them into your existing albums folder.

Go into an album. There is a selectbox for album actions. Select "New nested album".

If I go into an album and create a "new nestled album", I am creating a "sub-album" within the gallery I went into. How do I create a new gallery to "go into" - a gallery different than the one I have?

A different GALLERY?

For this you need to make a separate installation of the code.
