Original 800x600 pictures get resized to smaller size even if I do not want it

I have set the size of resized copies of uploaded pictures to 800. If I upload images that are larger than that, even for just 5 pixels, it works ok, and previews are 800 pixels wide.
However, if I upload original images that are exactly 800x600, while I expected to see them just at their size, they are instead resized arbitrarily with a 480 pixel width.
Can anyone please help to avoid this undesired resizing???? I have to upload a lot of 800x600 pictures, but I do not want the 480 pixel resizing! How can i tell Gallery this??

Gallery version: 1.6 alpha 3

Operating system: windows xp
Web browser/version (if applicable): firefox 2.0.15

Hello,

Gallery 1.6 is still in development. I would not use it in productions systems.
Alpha3 is also very outdated. Please use the latest SVN version. You download it from http://jems.de/archive/1.6
