ADD NEW FIELD TO G2_USER TABLE

There is someone that can describe step-by-step and clearly the
procedure to

- add a new field to g2_user table
- modify, for example, UserPreferences class, to LOAD and UPDATE
the value of this new field (.INC, .CLASSES, .TPL, ecc.)

Please, if it's possible, the step-by-step CORRECT PROCEDURE, because
all the post in forum are too generic and anyone have post the correct
solution.
