Can't grant admin access to myself; Seeing private photos

When I'm in the Gallery2 Users section on wordpress, I see my gallery username come up, but I only have the option to grant g2 access. How do I make myself an admin?

The username, password and email are the same on both gallery and wordpress.

Also, will doing this allow me to add private photos to my blog? Currently when I add WPG2 images it only shows me my public photo albums. Anyway to change this so I can see all my photo albums?

Is your Wordpress Account Admin? Because it should automatically grant you G2 Admin rights after your G2 Account has been created.. You should have access to what ever G2 albums your Gallery2 User has access to.. (Although as G2 admin you have global access to all photos..)

Yes I am the wordpress admin, and the gallery admin. I'm the only user of the blog, and linked up to the admin user of the gallery.

I did notice that all of a sudden my private albums are showing in the list, perhaps it was just an issue with cookies and waiting for wordpress and gallery2 to link properly. Even if I can't make myself a G2 admin, that is fine since I'm the only person that puts the albums up and it doesn't sound like I'd have any additional functionality as admin.

So here's another question. If I add a picture from my private album, will it still be visible to everyone without them having to login? And is there anyway that adding the pic from my private album would make it so that others without passwords could access my private album? Since I have my pictures opening in a lightbox, I didn't think there would be any security issues but I wanted to check with the experts. Thanks!!

Hiya vivasuzi,

Once you mark a Gallery2 Album as not viewable by guest then any image (including ones displayed through the WPG2) will only be viewable if you have a Gallery2 User Account with the correct permissions..
