I've set an external maintenance url but now gallery keeps redirecting me to that url, even when trying to access administration!
I've also checked config.php, which tells me that maintenance is off. I've also searched through the database and can't seem to find a flag that tells it to go into maintenance mode.
All caches have also been cleared in case the redirection was cached.
How do I go about fixing this? I suspect its because I'm trying to access administration using the rewritten address, can anyone provide me the long address to access administration?
I cannot access the maintenance page, the below information is filled out manually.
Gallery version: SVN Trunk 17661
PHP version: 4.4.0
PHPInfo Link: Please ask me personally
Webserver: Apache 2.2.4
Database: MySQL 5.0.51
Operating system: openSuSe 10.3
Browser: Firefox 3.0 Release

maint page: main.php?g2_view=core.SiteAdmin&g2_subView=core.AdminMaintenance

Thanks dave, those links proved useful!
One question, is it possible to use an external maintenance page with rewrite on without having to remember the long addresses?

Sure, if you dont' give the admin rule in the setup of the rules.
I have not used G2.3 much so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the reply.
But I mean I want to be able to access my administration panel via http://www.example.com/admin/ while in maintenance mode, is that possible?

Your external link that you provide should have the link to login.

Thank you also. Saved a lot of work plus irritation with myself.
