Hi guys, long time Gallery user but new poster here. I'm not sure if this is where I should post this question or not but I've got a pretty crappy problem. I was trying to migrate my Gallery 2 from one server to another. I created a dump of the database which I then used to recreate the database on the new server. I then used tar to gather the files on my linux server and gzip to compress them. I used SCP to send the compressed file from the one server to the other, the compressed file was about 1.4GB so it took quite a bit of time. I figured that I had this file compressed and sent so I proceeded to remove the working directory from the one server. This was my biggest mistake because when I went to unzip the file on the new server it gave me errors about unexpected EOF. I unzipped it on the previous server without issue but for whatever reason I am now getting the following errors: Error (ERROR_BAD_PARAMETER) : http://newcelica.org/larryd/gallery2/main.php So I figure I'm pretty much screwed now when It comes to transferring my existing Gallery so I'll just install a new copy and upload images from there. So now that you've read all of that my question is this. Is there any way to upload the directories from the previous server in the /g2data folder to the new server and have Gallery automatically create new albums for each of the folders it processes? I figure there probably isn't but it is worth asking. Thanks in Advance for any assistance. |
