"winzip" might corrupt files?

I mean to have red in this forum, respectively on this website that some zip-programs like "winzip" might corrupt files - e.g. the Gallery download files - and other unpacker work fine, but now I cannot find the information anymore. And there should be a list of which zip-programs work fine.

Where could I find it? Or am I wrong?
