I think it would be great to have the option of presenting Gallery2 images in a virtual (walkthrough) 3D gallery. Apart from the fun aspect, the ability to arrange and view images in an architectural space could be really useful from an interior design / curatorial / art consultancy point of view. Perhaps this could be done though an integration with Second Life?

G2.3 has http://www.piclens.com support.

What is 'Second Life'?
Gallery does virtual reality files already.

Thanks for your message Dave
piclens isn't a 3D 'walkthrough' interface. Second life is an online 3D community environment: http://secondlife.com/
It would be great to be able to show gallery2 images in a Second Life gallery.

Sure it would be cool, but I live on the edge and and still not going to install a 35 MEG virtual reality viewer.

why would you need to install a 35 MEG virtual reality viewer?
I was thinking more in terms of a bridge module, like the google maps one.

Is this bit of software ( second life) just a VR viewer is it not?

The download to even test this out is 35 megs. It does not run on my machine anyway ( I don't meet the requirements) so can't offer more than that.
