gallery2 lightbox support with wpg2...

No idea where to post this.

I'm using vSlider 3.1.1 for Wordpress & gallery2. I've installed and enabled it.. everything works with a couple of bugs:

1.) clicking on an image on my main blog brings up an image.. but with text overlaid on it... To see that, click on the random image on http://www.bfaber.com/blog/

2.) Inside gallery, if I click on an image.. it doesn't show up in a pop-up like it does on the main page:

(I can't see any other 'enable lightbox' in the gallery2 configuration pages either..).

Anybody have any ideas?

Hiya bfaber,

Yes vslider is a lightbox enabled theme, your lightbox popup does work however the issue is your page is very very slow to load and the lightbox script will ONLY work after your page is fully loaded..

I figured a number of things out.. and what you say just occured to me.

Hmm. 'Will have to find a different host other then dreamhost... (or pay for a faster server).

Hmm DH should not be that slow, my blog (www.ozgreg.com) is on DH and I do not see that kind of SLOW loading speed...

I didn't have any form of acceleration turned on.. I've since gone in and turned up WP cache, and full gallery acceleration and its a bit more acceptable.

'could just be my server...

Log into your account vi SSH and do a uptime, it will list out the load of your server.. The higher the number the slower the server.. If the number is like 15+ drop a support request into DH about the server load..

I seem to be having the same slow load issue with vslider...other themes load much faster.

However, any theme I use will not allow the lightbox pictures I added with WPG2to show. Thumbnails fine but when lightbox box pops up there is nothing in it. See www.divaknitting.com/blog
