Cannot upload photos from local (win XP client) machine [Ple

Gallery v1.3

If I try to upload from my local machine (windows client) I get the box that says:

"File upload in progress!
This page will go away automatically when the upload is complete. Please be patient! "

Then a second window opens which stays blank for about a minute. Afterthat the second window displays:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. ...etc

----
If I copy the same .zip file to the server and upload using a path on the server (using the bottom portion of the upload promp box) it will ingest the .zip file and install all the photos.

Any ideas on this one?
