Need Help: Moving to a new server

Our Gallery has 11648 images and the server it is sitting on is dying. How do I go about moving it?

Apache version: Apache/2.0.51 (Fedora)
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): PHP v4.3.10
Graphics Toolkit: Netpbm / ImageMagick
Operating system: Vista
Web browser/version (if applicable): firefox 2.0.0.14

Hello Parrysound,

You simply need to make a backup and transfer that to your new server.

What i also suggest is a migration to Gallery 2.

this is what I'm getting when I try to open the gallery on the new server:

If you get an error, and only some users are upgraded, try refreshing the page to upgrade remaining users.

But it says done in the status bar and it doesn't look like it's actually doing anything.

You have to adjust the pathes in the config.php on your new Server.

Thank you, that's done now, and I changed some file permissions, but I'm still getting the same message as above.

but i meant the path itself.

Yes, now it's Error: Unable to create dir: '/home/httpd/vhosts/209.200.253.26/special/parrysound/data/albums/albums/.users'.

This is indeed a permission issue.

Reason can be that the path exists, but does not belong to you.
And/or it exits, but the webserver can not write to it.

Thats a Gallery 2.

If you want to continue with G2 instead of G1. thats fine, but then you need to migrate your G1 install.
