Stripping Descriptions / Summaries

Hi there G2 brainstrust!

What is the easiest way to strip / swap some (not all) data from the Summary / Description fields of many albums worth of photos?

i.e. Doing a "find and replace" on a recurring string "Old Name of Thing" with "New Name of Thing" or nothing at all.
