Purge old photos/albums

I was wondering if there was an easy way in the admin console to purge old photos and/or albums? If not, this owuld be a great module for someone to create. My Gallery application is used by my family but they never clean up after themselves. I would like to either be able to manually purge photos older than one year or have Gallery do it automatically. This would be a great module, especially if the time frame was customizeable.
