Using NVu to publish webpage with gallery album to DreamHost

I am in the process of re-creating my web page so I can change servers. I would like to use Dreamhost and they have Gallery software available. I would like to create my web page on my local computer along with the gallery pictures and then publish to Dreamhost. I now plan to use NVu to create the web page. The question is "do I need to use gallery on my local computer?" and do I also need Gallery Remote on my local computer?
