I've installed and played with Gallery, I like it very much. However, it seems to be lacking a functionality that I would need very much - Multiple image selection/checkout. If you're familiar at all with Xinet Webnative, this is pretty much what I'm looking for.

For example, I have a client who is browsing her images. I would want her to be able to hit a checkbox next to each image she wants processed. She then hits a button or link labelled "Checkout", and one of a few things happen, depending on how I set up her privs:

1) She is given a form to fill out with a list of the requested files (as name and thumbnails), basic request pop ups/fields (file format, size, resolution, etc), and a text version of this form is emailed to me.
2) A dialog whereby the user can select file format, size, resolution, color space etc, and an automatic download of the selected images to her HD is initiated

I've scoured this site and forums, and have seen numerous references of a "shopping cart" function, but this is not what I want; I have no interest in directing users to paysites like shutterfly or paypal. I simply want them (at simplest) to be able to select images and direct that list back to me, as admin.

I also see no mention of this sort of functionality with Gallery 2, unless I've missed something. So - does anyone have a plugin solution to Gallery for this sort of functionality, or can someone direct me to another Gallery-type app that does?

Thanks...
Arlo

There's nothing like this in gallery. You could probably use the voting patch as a starting point, but you'd still have to do a lot of codng.

I am looking to do this as well and am having probs finding out how to retrieve each images filename for submission from the view_album.php page that displays the thumbnail view.
