Novice help - Cant get Gallery Remote to login

Please help.

I'm a novice so please bear with me ..

I upgraded to Gallery 2.2.4 and Im trying to add albums for the first time.

I noticed the option to upload files from directory's on a server has gone so I am trying to use the latest version of Gallery Remote.

I have set up the URL as standalone (is this correct ?). to the xxxx.org/gallery2 directory. When I login I get a HTTP POST failed (HTTP404 Not Found Error). I can see that http://xx.org/gallery2/gallery_remote.php is not there.

I have also tried the Upload Applet and get this error :

Gallery Remote can find no protocol implementation at the URL http://geordiegabbamafia.org/gallery2/. Check with a web browser that http://geordiegabbamafia.org/gallery2/ is a valid Gallery URL.
