When I try to access my album via the Gallery URL I can see files fine, but when I try to access via WPG2 I get page not found errors.

Gallery URL: http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/gallery/v/20070316_FtLauderdale/
WPG2 URL: http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/v/20070316_FtLauderdale/

Any thoughts?

Firstly, We cannot guarantee that Gallery2 rewrites (when fixed with Wordpress) will work for all hosting environments, (hence why we put a nice big warning down the bottom of the screen). We would love to but experience tells us that hosting firms regularly come up with creative account solutions that break rewrites.

Looking at your post, what you are describing is pretty classical rewrite problems, sometimes this issue can be solved by visiting the Dashboard -> options -> permalink tab and selecting update permalink structure, or if you have changed a Gallery2 rewrite rule, return it back to it's default value.. Ultimately it may mean something in your hosting environment is preventing the Gallery2 rewrite plugin from operating as per it's design and you simply cannot use Gallery2 rewrites.

Ok, I've set the Wordpress Permalinks to default (i.e., http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/?p=123) but this makes my gallery album links appear like http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/?page_id=125&g2_itemId=48 when I really want it to be like http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/v/20070316_FtLauderdale/

What gives? How do I get it so that my gallery album links look like http://www.jeffandcrystal.com/v/20070316_FtLauderdale/ ?

Is there a recommended host who supports WordPress, Gallery2 and proper permalinks/rewrites?
