is it possible to back up all of my pictures on a disk

I have recently decided that I would like to back up all the pictures on my site to a disk. Is there a way to do that?

first u need to take backup of ur site on ur system.
then only u can copy it to disk

I have a basic configuration with a directory /g2data
I keep backups of that directory in a separate place.
That can be done in various ways. The simplest probably just copying it.
