Relief for long "move item" menu lists?

Our gallery has thousands of photos in thousands of folders. When I need to move things, the menu list of folders is incredibly long. To make it easier for others, the most used folders are at the top of these lists. But when I have to archive things, it is a crazy wait to scroll down the entire menu. Is there anything that can be done? A tree folder view? One idea I had was to somehow limit Gallery to showing just two folders deep from the top.

To illustrate the problem...you have folder
Gallery> Folder > Sub-Folder
and you want to transfer to
Gallery > Archive > Folder > Sub-Folder

The lists show every folder within Sub-Folder and every folder within that folder and so on. With thousands of folders, this just keeps growing! If you could somehow set a menu to show 1,2,3 or 4 folders deep in the move menu, it would make life easier! You would be limited on where you could move the item, but if you wanted to move something really deep, you could set the menu to do that.

Another idea just occurred to me, one that makes moving the files easier but does not solve the long menu problem. That idea is to import a folder at the top of the list all the way to a folder at the bottom of the list. This would be a time saver as you could bookmark the folders in question, instead of having to choose from a menu. But I do not know if Gallery 2 can import from itself into itself.

I tried searching the feature vote to see what might exist for this sitution, but could find nothing. If you know of something, let me know!

THanks,
