How can I HIDE images but have them returned to user in search results?

I would like to be able to HIDE specific albums but make the individual images retrievable through search. Is this possible? i.e., I have the images of all students for one class, but do not ever want to display all at the same time. If someone searches on John SMITH, then I would like the 'hidden' image to appear in search results.
