/******************************************************** Hi, all I am currently working on a new theme, almost done(95%). It's based on carbon theme. But I've done lots of changes, such as color scheme, layout, and add some js effects(reflection, lightbox using mootools lib, NOT prototype lightbox, better than prototype lightbox). However, some icons and popup menu of carbon theme are kept. I want to know if I need permission to release this theme? No need for permission. We welcome your contribution.
Please create a codex page for your theme. If you need help with this let me know and I can create a skeleton page for you to flesh out.

Ok. not totally finshed yet, when I am ready to release it, I'll try to create a codex page.
A few days later, it's the Chinese spring festival, the most important festival for Chinses people, like Christmas in western country.
There will be a longer holiday. I think I'll finish and release it after the holiday.

Hi, bhchen, thanks for your comment.
The theme is done. I've made my own icons. But too bad, a misoperation I deleted a folder which contains all PSD icon files.
The current icons are Chinese word, still need to creat an English version. I’ve been a bit busy recently, if someone can help to create them that would be great.

Theme demo: http://gallery.zzvo.com/ Not suitable for work [moderator]
Note: this theme is compatible and fully tested with IE7, Firefox 2.0+, Opera 9.0+ and Safari 3.0+.
It does NOT work well with IE6. The main problem is Js and a few lines of CSS. I can make it work but lots of other things to do, so currently no plan to do this.

hmmm, my site is totally NOT an adult site.
Some photos on homepage are from recently well-known Edison Chen Sex Scandal. Those girls are Hong Kong Star.

Hi, Jesse:
Glad to know that your new theme is close to its completion - sorry that I am essentially a novice in computer, otherwise I would have offered to help with your icon issue. Just wondering if your theme will also have the BIG5 version available when it's done? Looking forward to it. Great job!!

Hi, bhchen
I'll make English and Big5 icons, but some time needed.

Jesse,
Not sure if these are bugs with theme, but here's two things I'm seeing.
1. In the sidebar content, regardless of what I put in the sidebar, there is a message at the bottom that says, "WARNING: block core.NavigationLinks doesn't exist.".
2. The little images for the sidebar popout/in are missing. Firebug reveals the issue is that the url for the images is incorrectly absolute instead of relative.
That is they are like /themes/ebony/images/slide-button-active.gif instead of /themes/ebony/images/slide-button-active.gif with no preceeding /.
Image from IE 7 attached only because it's more noticeable than in FF.

Hi, eleavings
1. A little Bug. Is your gallery root in a subfolder? e.g. www.yoursite.com/gallery/.
Please open album.tpl and photo.tpl, find: "<img src="/themes/ebony/images/slide-button.gif" width="20px" height="71px" border="0" alt="Sidebar" />",
Change the above line to <img src="{g->url href="themes/ebony/images/slide-button.gif"}" width="20px" height="71px" border="0" alt="Sidebar" />
Or change "/themes/ebony/images/slide-button.gif" to absolute path, e.g., src="http://www.yoursite.com/gallery/themes/ebony/images/slide-button.gif".
I'll change this in template source, then rezip and upload it.
2. edit your sidebar.tpl file, remove {g->block type="core.NavigationLinks" class="gbBlock"}.
In addition, from your screenshot, I found there is a position problem in your sliding sidebar. That's the language problem, In Chinese it's no problem.
You can open theme.css file, find:
#gallery #sideBarContents {
position: absolute;
top: 116px;
right: 16px;
background: #3B3B3B;
padding: 0;
overflow: hidden;
z-index: 1;
}
Change "top:116px" to "top:114px".

Thanks Je55e!
All that worked great!
The gallery is not at root but in a directory as in http://www.yoursite.com/gallery/
For issue #1, I used your suggested replacements as opposed to copying the images.
I should say this is my favorite theme currently and very much appreciate your efforts. It is much superior to carbon and similar ones.
I realize you're still working on new things for this theme. Here's a couple things that would be nice to have.
1. When user clicks on an image and the lightbox opens up, make the photo in the lightbox clickable so that when it is clicked, the user is taken to the photo in the album (non-lightbox).
2. Make the whole theme not a fixed width. This would help with embeds in other things. For example when using WordPress and WPG2 plugin the gallery theme tends to be wider than the wordpress theme and shoots out to the right a little too far.
I wish I was a coder so I could help but even without these things the theme is great!
Thanks!

Thanks for your comment, eleavings.
1. Sorry for my English, "taken to the photo in the album", you meant is "taken to the single photo page"? If so, this is same to the text link "details/comments" on lightbox window.
2. Fluid width is easy. edit theme.css find:
#gallery{ padding:10px; width:960px; margin:0 auto; position:relative}
change the width to 97%. Aslo there are a few lines of other CSS need to be changed too.
I'll provide a fluid width version in next release.

Yes indeed. Same as clicking "details/comments". I just thought that since the general interface is driven through clicking images such as clicking the album image then the photo image some folks will also try clicking the image itself in the lightbox. But not really that important I agree.
I see about the fluid width. I'll play around with the css.
Thanks again!

what would i need to change to make this work

Thank you Je55e. Your g2 template just solved all my problems that pglightbox caused when embedded inside Joomla. Because your version uses mootools it does not conflict with my joomla templates that run with mootools. Reason being... pglightbox uses scriptulous and prototype scripts and they caused library conflicts with rockettheme's templates that were built with mootools.
You da man Je55e.

Je55e great theme! wondering if there is a way to have the description in the lightbox pop-up rather than in a link?

PLEASE IGNORE THIS - RESOLVED BY CLEARING ALL BROWSER AND SERVER CACHES
This is a great theme. I am currently setting up a site using this theme embedded in Joomla, but the sidebar does not work when accessed in embedded mode. It works fine when accessing Gallery standalone. I note from the source that is generated, that the sidebar contents are not rendered when embedded. As I am a novice in diagnostics of this level I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
Joomla - 1.0.15
Gallery - 2.2
Site - www.jouques.net
Galery location - www.jouques.net/gallery/
Embeded URL - www.jouques.net/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=69

JE55E & Others,
Has anyone noticed that IE7 wont open up what looks like a flash (i know its not) enlarged photos?
It appears to start to load (I see the timer working) then it just opens up in a new window. Older IEs seem to work and Safari (havent tried FF yet).
First, is there something being blocked (that IE isn't telling me)?
Second, does this have to do with the theme?
Third, How do we fix this because I love this theme!
Thanks for you help guys, and thanks for an outstanding theme Je55e.

This is a beautiful theme. I would like to use it, and modify the colors and graphics for a site I am working on. Is that permitted? Also, I wonder what I must be doing wrong here. When using the Ebony them, my image descriptions are missing. The descriptions are visible in all other themes, but not Ebony. Have I missed a setting somewhere?

Anyone got the lightbox to span multiple pages in an album.
I tried to follow this http://codex.gallery2.org/Gallery2:Lightbox_JS_Tutorial but it looks like this theme uses a different type of lightbox.

Great theme, However can you tell how to remove your advert from the top? I paid for my own site so i don;t have to put up with items like that.
One other thing has any noticed that when you change the amount of columns and row that it does take effect when you save the changes. Work on all other themes other than this one? It also seems to chop off half of my albums. It tells me i have two pages when i click page 2 it shows me a repeat of page 1 thus not displaying all my sub album.
Update**
My last issues with the columns and rows not display correctly, seems to be some sort of strange delay. After i type this post the site had corrected itself. Any ideas.
