Direct link to the login popup?

Is it possible to place a direct login link from an external page?
When the login button is pressed - goes to gallery

example.com/gallery/login.php
You would have to edit the file to do a redirect to the proper page.
there has been other posts about having a login form in another page you will have to search for that.
