I've just noticed a strange thing happening with a few of my images being uploaded with GR. All has been fine up 'till now. Go to http://www.milliepilkington.com/v/children/?g2_page=3 and see images 36, 38 & 40. A small row section of the top of the image is being placed at the bottom of the image (thumbnail & resize). They are being uploaded from an XP laptop, latest GR, resize B4 upload. Any ideas anyone? Gallery version = 2.2.3 core 1.2.0.5 |

I've had a look at the 'originals' uploaded via G2 and stored in the g2data folder. Before uploading via GR, the images are batch resized to 1000px maximum dimension (Automate>Fit Image) to reduce the amount of work GR has to do.
It appears the original 1000px versions on the server also bear this imperfection, hence it is passed to the resize and thumbnail. This leads to the question, do the originals and 1000px versions that were uploaded bear the imperfection? (i'm enquiring about this).
If they do not, then the imperfection has been introduced during the resizing/upload via Gallery Remote. Two things I immediately noticed when looking at the cimages on the server (g2data) were:
They are all labelled ‘XX.jpg’ or ‘XX.JPG’, where XX is a number, but two of the images with an imperfection are labelled ‘38_001.jpg’ and ‘40_001.jpg'. Could his be at the root of the problem? They don’t have this label when displayed on the site???
Also, the three images with imperfections are all portrait shots and correctly display portrait on the site thumbnail/resize – however the 1000px versions uploaded to the server are all rotated 90 degrees (ACW) - I'm enquiring if this was this how they were shot and if they were rotated subsequently once they were on the server – it may have been introduced then.
Anyone got any ideas on this - I'll update the post when I get a reply from the client.
