16:9 flash video distorted

When i upload flv files to my gallery 2.2.1 (also updated the flashvideo plugin to the version in 2.2.4), they display and play okay but they're vertically squished by about 30%. The video is at 720x480, if i squish it to 640x480 it displays fine. I think the video is encoded correctly because it plays find in VLC. I tried to grab the svn flashvideo, but I needed an updated core and I'm unwilling to switch to 2.3 until its been released. I did try putting the dimensions into the edit video tab, but those don't seem to have any effect. What can be done? brad |

i think we've fixed some aspect ratio related things in the player since galery 2.2. please try the latest nightly snapshot of gallery 2. -------------- |

I don't think I can just try the nightly snapshot of the flashvideo plugin... since it seems to require a different version of core and I'm unwilling to upgrade everything. I did make an interesting discovery... it may be a javascript compatibility problem with opera. When i try the 720x480 video in firefox it resizes on play to the proper aspect ratio. brad |
