Problem with installing WPG2

I have installed and configured both WordPress 2.3 and Gallery 2.2. Then I installed WPG2 3.0.2 on my server by uploading the folder "wpg2" to the "plugins" folder in the WordPress folder.

As it is mentioned in the "readme" file I went to the Plugins page in WordPress admin to activate it but it was not listed in the Plugins page. Has anybody else the same experience? What is the cause of this problem and how can it be fixed?

I'm facing the same problem, there's no WPG2 plugin showing up in the adminpanel.

wordpress 2.3.2

wpg2 3.0.2

wp-united phpbb3 v0.6.0

ok, I'm stupid :)

(I was looking in the wrong ACP... plugin doesn't show up in the adminpanel of the Gallery, but in the adminpanel of Wordpress :))

I was looking at Plugins page of Wordpress but I couldn't find it. I deleted the plugin, created a "wpg2" directory and uploaded the files again. This time it worked. I couldn't understand what caused the problem in the first place.
