Since this thread is referring to PostNuke, I'll presume you're asking about the PostNuke Random Block.

It's available at Jörg Holzapfel's Web Page.

After messing around and wasting a whole day with an "improved"version of random block downloaded from www.yankeesinthesouth.org/ I came across this thread and managed to install random block in less than 5 minutes. Thanks a lot folks.

Is this version of random block the latest? (it has a date of 16/10/2002). Are there known problems with it, or should I relax and enjoy it?

PLEASE setup a section on this site where we can submit and download block and modules and or hacked scripts! This will make the searching alot easier!

that means you do not have a /modules/gallery/pnblocks directory with the gallery_random.php in it.

Hav eyou initiated and activated the gallery module first?

When you click on add new block, you should see at the bottom of the list "gallery/gallery Random Picture"

I'm working with gallery for a while now, no problems. So gallery and the dir including the 1 i made: pnblocks with the file in it are existing.
This is the dir: /modules/gallery/pnblocks

Im working with phpnukemod 6.5.

When i want to add a block, gallery/gallery Random Picture is not in the list.

I'm on PostNuke .723 and gallery 1.34.

Created pnblocks directory under /modules/gallery

From Yankeesinthesouth.org, placed block-random.php in the /pnblocks dir
and random_support.php under /gallery

When I add a new block, I get this:

extract() expects first argument to be an array in ~/modules/Gallery/init.php on line 60

:-?

I looked at the module from www.yankeesinthesouth.org but it seems to me that it's only for PHPNuke - Not PostNuke.
Have you managed to install it in PostNuke??
