URL Rewrite only works when logged in

Hi there,

I'm running Drupal 5.3, Gallery 2.2.3, and Gallery 5.x-2.0-beta5. I had some issues with URL rewrite but was able to properly configure the embedded settings to point at the proper .htaccess files. Everything is working great as long as I'm logged in. But as soon as I log out, dynamic albums (www.mysite.com/popular) no longer work. Any suggestions?
