changing gallery default view

I am trying to develop a "homepage" module for G2.
Can someone tell me how (or is it possible ?) to change GALLERY_DEFAULT_VIEW constant within a module ?
What I want to achieve: if "homepage" module is installed and active (configured), the default view of gallery goes to this module.

no, one can't set the default view from a module yet. you need to change its value in modules/core/classes/GalleryConstants.class.
