Pictures and text interlaced - something like G2 and simple CMS

Hi,

I would like to use G2 (except one big project I'm starting) for my personal gallery.
I need to publish not only pictures with short descriptions but some text like vacation flashback.
Sure, I could install some CMS but I'm searching for some more simple solution like additional module for G2 or whatever (I could imagine that like picture, the text could be just another object to publish in gallery). Would be nice to stay only with Gallery - not any extra CMS to add.
Does someone have some experience about that? Any recommendations?
